Recently, the groundbreaking ceremony for the High-Value Utilization of Low-Rank Coal and Carbon Recycling Demonstration Project for Ningxia Jianeng Coal-Based New Materials Co., Ltd., EPC-contracted by CNCEC-TCC, was officially held.
This project uses low-rank coal to make high-performance coal-based adsorbents via integrated circulating fluidized bed carbonization and activation, with crude syngas as a by-product. Using CNCEC-TCC’s proprietary low-pressure pure hydrogenation synthesis and circulating external heat removal methanation technologies, crude syngas is turned into alcohol-based liquid fuels and SNG. Its core coal-based adsorbents belong to state-supported strategic emerging industries, expanding traditional coal operations into high-value downstream material chains.
